Praha - Kamýk

On the Vital Kamýk residential project we supplied a complete set of locksmith elements including balcony and staircase railings, dividing walls, shelters and other related structures. It was important to combine safety, functionality and a clean look across the public and private spaces.

We designed the solution in close relation to the architectural concept of the house. We tailored each element to the operation of the building, the privacy requirements and the overall visual sobriety of the façade.

Railings as part of the architecture of the house

Within the Vital Kamýk project, we supplied a complete solution of indoor and outdoor railings designed in close relation to the architectural concept of the building. Inside, lightweight steel railings in white are used, working with the subtle rhythm of the vertical elements to promote light and clarity in the common areas.

The exterior railings and balcony infills use perforated metal to provide security and partial privacy screening while maintaining visual contact with the surroundings. The solution respects the modest expression of the façade and follows the raster articulation of the building.

Privacy, orientation and detail work

The delivery also included dividing walls on the loggias and terraces, which increase the level of privacy of the individual apartments without disturbing the overall expression of the house. The technical solution works with repetitiveness of elements and precise detailing, which was important given the scale of the project.

We also addressed wayfinding and motivational signage on the staircases to complement the functionality of the common areas. Even the small elements were designed to be a natural part of the overall design of the house.

Common spaces and relationship to place

We also contributed to the technical elements of the common outdoor spaces, terraces, fencing and associated structures. Continuity with the urban design of the whole ensemble was important, as was consistent detailing on the exterior.
